Personal Loans in New Mexico
SET Financial connects New Mexico residents with third-party lenders. We match you with lenders, we do not make loans or set rates.
Get StartedSET Financial is a lead-connection service for new loan requests, not the lender. Not everyone who applies will be matched or approved.
Connecting New Mexico Residents with Lenders
SET Financial is a loan matching service, not a lender. We connect New Mexico residents with a network of third-party lenders who review each request and make all credit decisions. Many lenders in our network consider applicants with bad, thin, or no credit history, so it can be worth requesting even if past applications did not work out.
An installment loan gives you a set amount of money that you repay over time in scheduled payments, usually with a fixed rate and a clear payoff date. That structure makes budgeting predictable compared with open-ended debt. New Mexico residents commonly use installment and personal loans for car repairs, medical or dental bills, home or appliance needs, moving costs, seasonal expenses, or consolidating higher-cost balances into a single monthly payment. SET Financial does not fund these loans. We simply pass your request to lenders who may be able to help.

Who the Network Works With in New Mexico
Bad credit
A past due account or a low score does not automatically disqualify you. Many lenders in our network look at your current income and ability to repay, not only your credit history. Approval and terms are always decided by the lender.
Thin or no credit
If you have little or no credit file, some lenders still review requests using income and other factors. Requesting a match through SET Financial does not guarantee approval, but it can connect you with lenders open to newer borrowers.
Self-employed or 1099 income
Freelancers, gig workers, and contractors can request a match. Lenders may ask for bank statements, tax records, or other proof of income to verify what you earn. Each lender sets its own documentation requirements.
Fixed income
Residents on Social Security, disability, retirement, or other steady fixed income can request a match. Lenders weigh whether the payment fits your budget and decide the amount and terms they can offer.
New Mexico Rates and Your Protections
Consumer lending in New Mexico is overseen by the Financial Institutions Division of the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department. Effective January 1, 2023, House Bill 132 set a 36% APR cap on loans of $10,000 or less made under the New Mexico Small Loan Act and the New Mexico Bank Installment Loan Act, replacing the prior cap that could reach 175%. Your actual rate, fees, and repayment terms are set solely by the lender you are matched with, within applicable law. SET Financial does not set rates and does not make credit decisions.
