Personal Loans in Iowa
A loan matching service connecting Iowa residents with third-party lenders
Get StartedSET Financial is a lead-connection service for new loan requests, not the lender. Not everyone who applies will be matched or approved.
Connecting Iowa Residents with Lenders
SET Financial is a loan matching service, not a lender. We help Iowa residents connect with third-party lenders who offer personal and installment loans. Because our network includes lenders who consider a range of borrowers, you may be able to submit a request even with bad, thin, or limited credit, though every credit decision, rate, and term is set solely by the lender.
An installment loan gives you a set amount of money up front that you repay in fixed, scheduled payments over time, which can make budgeting more predictable than open ended credit. Iowa borrowers commonly use installment and personal loans for things like car repairs, medical or dental bills, home maintenance, debt consolidation, moving costs, or unexpected emergencies. SET Financial does not make loans or decide who qualifies. We simply connect you with lenders in our network who may be able to help.

Who the Network Works With in Iowa
Bad credit
A lower credit score does not automatically rule you out. Some lenders in our network consider applicants with poor credit, though approval, rates, and terms are always the lender's decision, and approval is never guaranteed.
Thin or no credit
If you have little or no credit history, certain lenders may still review your request by looking at other factors such as income and banking activity. SET Financial only connects you, it does not decide.
Self-employed or 1099 income
Freelancers, contractors, and gig workers can submit a request. Lenders may ask for bank statements or other proof of income instead of traditional pay stubs. Terms depend on the lender.
Fixed income
Borrowers on Social Security, disability, retirement, or other fixed income may be matched with lenders who accept these income sources. Each lender sets its own eligibility criteria.
Iowa Rates and Your Protections
Consumer lenders operating in Iowa are generally licensed and supervised by the Iowa Division of Banking, and consumer credit transactions are governed by the Iowa Consumer Credit Code (Iowa Code Chapter 537), with certain regulated loans covered under Chapter 536. These laws set limits on finance charges for covered consumer loans, and the Iowa Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division enforces the Consumer Credit Code. SET Financial is not a lender and is not licensed to lend in Iowa. Your actual APR, fees, and repayment terms are set entirely by the third-party lender you are matched with and will appear in the loan agreement they provide.
Before you sign, confirm the lender's Iowa license through the Iowa Division of Banking and review the APR, total finance charge, and payment schedule disclosed in your loan agreement.
