SET Financial is a lead-connection service for new loan requests, not the lender. Not everyone who applies will be matched or approved.

Connecting Florida Residents with Lenders

SET Financial is not a lender in Florida. We are a connection service that matches Florida residents with third-party lenders in our network, including options for people with bad, thin, or limited credit. Every lender independently reviews your request and decides whether to make a loan.

An installment loan gives you a fixed amount of money up front that you repay over time in scheduled payments, usually monthly, until the balance is paid off. Florida residents commonly use installment and personal loans for things like car repairs, medical or dental bills, home repairs, moving costs, consolidating higher-cost debt, or covering an unexpected emergency between paychecks.

Who the Network Works With in Florida

Bad credit

A low credit score does not automatically disqualify you. Some lenders in our network consider applicants with poor credit, though approval, rates, and terms are decided by each lender, and approval is never guaranteed.

Thin or no credit

If you have little or no credit history, certain lenders may look at other factors such as income and banking activity. We can help you request options, but the lender makes the final decision.

Self-employed or 1099 income

Being self-employed or earning 1099 income does not rule you out. Lenders may ask for bank statements or other proof of income, and each lender sets its own documentation requirements.

Fixed income

Borrowers on fixed income, such as Social Security, disability, or a pension, may still be matched with lenders who accept those income sources. The lender decides eligibility, rates, and terms.

Florida Rates and Your Protections

Consumer finance lending in Florida is regulated by the Florida Office of Financial Regulation under the Florida Consumer Finance Act (Chapter 516, Florida Statutes). Florida sets a general usury cap of 18 percent per year, while licensed consumer finance loans of 25,000 dollars or less may carry higher tiered maximums: as of July 1, 2024, up to 36 percent per year on the first 10,000 dollars, 30 percent on amounts above 10,000 up to 20,000 dollars, and 24 percent on amounts above 20,000 up to 25,000 dollars. SET Financial does not set rates or terms. Each lender sets its own rates, fees, and terms within applicable law.
