At SET Financial, how your interest is calculated depends on when your loan was issued:

  • Loans originated before March 2025 use precomputed interest (Rule of 78s). This means the total interest is calculated upfront and built into your scheduled payments.

  • Loans originated March 2025 or later use simple interest, where interest is calculated only on your remaining principal balance. This allows you to pay off your loan faster and save on interest if you make early or extra payments.

  • Any dispute must be made in writing to SET at the following address: by email to grievance@setfinancial.com
  • Identify your account relationship with SET Financial, such as your name, phone number, address, account number, etc.
  • Specify the information of why you are disputing it.
  • Provide documentation to support your dispute.

 In most cases, SET Financial will respond to your dispute notice in writing within 14 business days.

Not necessarily. We encourage all applicants to apply for loans. The process is quick, easy, secure, and free. 

SET Financial does not offer mortgage loans.

No problem. During our loan application process, you will be asked for permission to access your credit history. It’s within your rights to request a copy of the report from the credit reporting agency. 

We don’t treat you as a number. We look at more than just your credit score when reviewing your loan application. We encourage everyone to apply regardless of credit history.  

Loan interest rates vary based on several factors, including the loan amount and length of the loan, as well as other factors unique to the individual borrower. We work hard to offer competitive rates on installment loans. 

A co-borrower is an additional borrower whose name appears on loan documents and whose income and credit history are used to help qualify for the loan. Under this arrangement, all parties involved must repay the loan.
